More Than 230,000 Vehicles Sold

Including the sales of the MINI and Rolls Royce lines, BMW had its best March ever, increasing sales more than 9 percent over the previous year. This also led to the best first quarter in the company’s history as it delivered more than half a million new vehicles for an increase of 8 percent over 2014. “This has been our strongest ever first quarter and we have achieved sales growth in all regions globally,” said BMW board member Ian Robertson.

BMW Models Provide Most Sales

Almost 200,000 of the company’s sales in March came directly from the BMW product line. The 2 Series (15,000), 4 Series (18,000) and 5 Series (36,000) led the way for cars, while the BMW X5 (15,000) sold the most in the SUV market. The company’s new entry into the green car market, the little i3, had its best month as well with more than 2,000 vehicles delivered. “It’s particularly pleasing to see the recovery in Europe continuing whiles sales in North America remain strong,” Robertson said. Go see why BMW sales are so strong by test driving your favorite model at your Phoenix BMW dealer, Chapman BMW on Camelback.

MINI has Best Quarter Ever

The sales explosion didn’t stop with the BMW models. The iconic MINI Cooper also had its best first quarter in history, as the public warms to the new models. Sales in March alone were almost 40 percent higher than last year, when the models were first introduced. First quarter sales were up almost 30 percent from the same time period a year ago. “Our new three and five door models are now fully available and we’re seeing just how popular they are in the markets,” said Peter Schwarzenbauer, BMW board member.

BMW Offering Finance Deals

In order to keep momentum on its side, BMW is offering special financing deals on many of its most popular models. The X crossover series has particularly attractive rates, with most of the models available for finance at 0.9 percent interest for qualified buyers. Lease payments are as low as $299 for the X1 and just over $600 a month for the luxurious and large X5 sDrive35i. Talk to the finance experts at Chapman BMW on Camelback for more specific information. BMW even has very special deals for active and retired U.S. Military members, whether they are at home or stationed abroad. It’s just the company’s way of saying “thank you for your service.”

Subtle Redesign Provides Sportier Look

For a luxury sports car that ticks all the boxes of creature comforts and performance, you can’t do much better than the BMW 6-Series. Positioned near the top of BMW’s line, the 6-Series and 650i underwent a minor facelift that’s probably not noticeable unless you’re a rabid BMW fan. A restyled front air intake, adding one blade to the kidney grille and new adaptive LED headlights are the major changes, showing that BMW engineers work on the old axiom that “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” Go see what all the fuss is about by inspecting the entire 6-Series line at Chapman BMW on Camelback.

Available in Coupe, Gran Coupe and Convertible

Determining whether you want two doors, four doors or a convertible top is the first choice you need to make when picking a 650i. All are powered by a 4.4-liter twin turbo V-8 that delivers 445 horsepower while maintaining an efficient 25 miles per gallon on the highway. All are also available with BMW’s patented xDrive system, providing all-wheel power for harsh conditions and better performance. All 650i models also come with the 8-speed sport automatic that shifts smoothly while providing optimum performance and fuel efficiency. Driving Dynamics Control lets you adjust your driving experience for optimum efficiency, better ride or sportier handling. The BMW 6-Series utilizes advanced German technology to make luxury driving fun.

Like Driving a Controlled Lightning Bolt

The 650i is such a combination of power, sophistication and handling, that stepping down on the gas is like riding a well-trained lightning bolt from a cloud. You feel the sense of raw power as you zip to 60 miles per hour in just 4.5 seconds, but even as you near the top limited speed of 155 miles per hour there is never a sense of being out of control. Aside from the speed and power, the growl of the finely tuned exhaust lets you know that you are in an authentic sports car, albeit one that is just as at home transporting you to a Royal Ball as it is tearing up a mountain road.

Sitting in the Lap of Luxury

Step one foot into the interior of the 650i and you’ll be hard-pressed to ever be comfortable in another car again. From the supple Nappa leather upholstery to the 20-way power seats, sitting in the 650i is like being cushioned on a cloud. The 600-watt Harmon Kardon audio system transports you to a virtual symphony hall as the music engulfs you and your passengers in a swaddling blanket of sound. High-tech instrumentation and well-placed controls let you know that you are in one of the finest driving machines ever made. Test drive a 650i today at Chapman BMW on Camelback.

Second Year in a Row for BMW

By winning the World Green Car award at the World Car Awards, the BMW i8 successfully defended the crown that the i3 won the previous year. The i8 won because of a combination of environmentally friendly plug-in hybrid power, lightweight materials and a futuristic design. Proving that an eco-friendly car doesn’t have to be bare bones, the i8 was also in the finals for the World Luxury Car award. Check out the BMW i8 inventory at Chapman BMW on Camelback.

First Plug-in Hybrid from BMW

The i8 combines the things everyone loves about a BMW with the innovation of plug-in hybrid technology. With a powerplant that delivers 357 horsepower, it provides the performance of a sports car with the fuel efficiency of a subcompact. Utilizing the plug-in feature and hybrid electric motor, the car delivers the equivalent of 76 miles per gallon. Using the electric engine alone, it has a range of about 15 miles while creating zero emissions from the tail pipe. The vehicle recharges in just 1.5 hours, making it a good choice for a commuter vehicle that you can take on a mountain run on the weekends.

Choose Driving Mode Depending on Conditions

By utilizing the Driver Experience Control knob on the console, you can switch in between modes depending on your mood and the condition of the road. Comfort provides a nice blend between a comfortable ride and sport performance. Sport unleashes the eBoost and tightens up the chassis and steering, delivering a more interactive experience. ECO PRO creates a more efficient driving style, while eDrive put the car solely in the hands of the electric engine.

Not Your Mama’s Hybrid

At first glance, the i8 looks like a futuristic sports car that sacrifices gas mileage for performance. With scissor doors, an aerodynamic design and advanced technology both inside and out, you’d be forgiven if you thought this was just another mid-life crisis purchase that placed style ahead of function. Once you delve deeper into the i8, you see that this Ultimate Driving Machine is just the next step in the maturation process of 21st century vehicles. By delivering a vehicle that is as much fun to drive as the i8 while still taking care of the planet, BMW engineers have shown a commitment to Earth first technology. Next Chapter in EfficientDynamics

The new BMW X5 XDrive40e is the company’s initial entry into the plug-in hybrid Sport Activity Vehicle market. BMW engineers combined the existing 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a lithium-ion battery powered electric motor to generate 308 horsepower and enough torque to go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in an astounding 6.5 seconds. EfficientDynamics is what BMW calls their effort to increase fuel efficiency without losing performance. It involves an integrated approach that covers the vehicle concept, energy management and the drive system. The new XDrive40e fills the bill in spades, with an EPA mileage estimate of 55 MPGe. Look for the new SAV to hit the showroom floor at Chapman BMW on Camelback sometime this October.

Good Commute Range on Electricity

Just using electric power, the new XDrive40e has a range of about 13 miles, good enough for running errands and most commutes. Using only electric power creates zero emissions from the tailpipe. You can charge the X5 from your home or a public charging station using a 120 V circuit. The faster BMW Charging Station is an option available for the home. Using the quicker method, it takes a little under 3 hours to completely recharge the battery. The electric engine produces 111 horsepower and provides an instant response when you step on the accelerator. The X5 all wheel drive feature is also available even in all-electric mode.

Combines German Engineering With U.S. Manufacturing

As with all the other BMW X models, the X5 XDrive40e is manufactured in Spartansburg, South Carolina. It shares a production line with other X models, with an additional number of steps added to include the hybrid features. Don’t believe for a minute that BMW engineers were focusing so much on the hybrid technology that they forgot to include the things that makes a BMW one of the world’s most renowned car brands. When you go to your Phoenix BMW dealer to see the new X5, you’ll know immediately it’s a BMW from the badging on the front to the black-panel instrument cluster and heavy use of technology, both on the inside and throughout the vehicle. An air suspension provides a smooth ride while you listen to a concert-quality stereo system as you head to work or start a family road trip. Experience the new XDrive40e, as well as all the other BMW models, at Chapman BMW on Camelback.
